Biographical information about our Board members Dr. Darin Garton is the pastor of Oak Creek Community Church in Mishawaka, Indiana, a church that he and his wife, Stacy, planted in 1992. They have three children. He has made two trips to Romania with teams from his church and has a heart to see Romanians come to Christ and to be established in biblically functioning communities. His education includes: B.S.B.A (University of Arkansas), M. Div. (Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary), and D. Min. (Fuller Theological Seminary).
Dr. Thomas Kidd is a professor of history at Baylor University in Waco, Texas. He and his wife Ruby are members of Highland Baptist church in Waco where he serves as an elder. They have two children. Dr. Kidd is author of The Protestant Interest: New England after Puritanism (Yale University Press, 2004), The Great Awakening: The Roots of Evangelical Christianity in Colonial America (Yale University Press, 2007), and The Great Awakening: A Brief History with Documents (Bedford Books, 2007). His education includes: B.A. (Clemson University), M.A. (Clemson University), and Ph.D. (Notre Dame University).
Pastor Garry Fisher was ordained to the ministry in 1977 and has pastored churches in Michigan and Minnesota. He and his wife, Marlene, who passed away from a brain tumor in 2000, have 12 children. Garry currently teaches secondary Bible classes at a private school in southern Michigan. His education includes: B.A. (Concordia College, Ft. Wayne, IN), M.A. (Pensacola Theological Seminary), and M.A. (Moody Graduate School, Chicago).
Pastor Joe Mayden began his career as a Certified Public Accountant. After being involved in leadership at a lay led church in Arkansas for ten years, he attended seminary, and began a new career as a pastor of both small and large churches in South Carolina and Texas. With 27 years of business experience and 20 years of ministry experience, he has pioneered a new ministry as a chaplain to the marketplace. He and his wife, Betty, have two children and three grandchildren. His education includes: B.S. (Oklahoma State University) and M.Div. (Columbia Biblical Seminary).
Jim Drasler is a nuclear physics engineer in transition to full time ministry among prisoners in several Nebraska penitentiaries where he and his wife, Marsha, founders of Freedom Ministries, regularly lead seminars, Bible studies, and church services. He is pursuing ordination through Global University. He and Marsha have two children have and two grandchildren. His education includes: B.S. Physics (Western Illinois University) and M.S. Nuclear Engineering (University of Illinois). |
